Summer Gin Cocktails
The perfect cocktails to enjoy for World Gin Day
With our favourite day of the year fast approaching, we asked two of our exhibitors to provide a Summer Gin Cocktail recipe perfect for enjoying on World Gin Day.
We’re thrilled to have Curio Spirits from Cornwall and award winning Caledonia Spirits all the way from Vermont, USA, coming to the show in December.
Curio is the creation of husband and wife team William and Rubina Tyler-Street who set out in 2012, to introduce a range of bespoke spirits that once tried, would entice and beckon. From their small-batch distillery in Mullion, they produce Rock Samphire Gin. Rock samphire, or sea fennel, from Cornish cliffs adds a distinctive spicy texture to the gin and captures the light, fresh aromas of the Cornish coast.
The gin, sourced with Cornish spring water, is quadrupled distilled with 15 fragrant botanicals, including Kombu seaweed sourced by The Cornish Seaweed Company, to create a delicious gin, so smooth and of such exceptional quality it can be imbibed on its own with ice and garnish.
Sourcing only fresh local ingredients means that their signature artisan spirit is available only when the botanicals are in season.
Curioâ€™s Cornish BreezeÂ
- 35ml Curio rock samphire gin
- 20ml doorlys white rum
- 15ml plum sake
- 5 dashes of lavender bitter
Stirred and served over on large cube of ice. Garnish with a lime peel.
Caledonia Spirits is a craft distillery located in Hardwick, Vermont, USA, that distills honey inspired spirits including Barr Hill Gin, Tom Cat Barrel Aged Gin, and Barr Hill Vodka.Â Founded by Todd Hardie, a naturalist and beekeeper, the company distillâ€™s premium spirits that reflect a deep connection to the land and rhythms of nature.

Little Barr Blue
- 6 Blueberries
- 140ml Honey Simple Syrup
- 50ml Barr Hill Gin
- 20ml Lime Juice
- One Egg White
Muddle blueberries and honey simple. Add gin, lime juice, and egg white. Dry shake then add ice and shake again. Double strain into a coupe and garnish with a blueberry on a skewer.
